The Fig Tree

Though the fig tree fail to blossom and no fruit be on the vine and the field yield no food, I will praise Thee Lord divine. (Habakkuk 3:17)

Satan knows he has but a short time and he is assembling his best to try to destroy God’s chosen. One of the greatest weapons we have against Satan is our praise to our God. Praise destroys strongholds, breaks bondages and ushers in healing. In ancient Israel, before the Jews went into battle, they always sent out the worshipers and musicians to prepare the way for the soldiers to win the war. When we worship God aloud, our very words, songs and shouts cause the demonic realm to tremble!

There are two results that come from what comes out of our mouth, life or death. If we speak God’s word and say the things He says, we speak life. Life counters death.

Whatever famine or drought you may be going through in this season of your life, whether it be spiritual, physical, mental or emotional, know this one thing, if what you desire is not currently coming to fruition and you feel that your provision is not what you expected it to be and your pantry seems to be in lack, praise God anyway! Praising Him is a form of loving Him. He will provide, He will heal, He will bind up, He will cover you, He will be there. He is willing and able to do exceedingly far above what you can ask or think because He loves you.

When we remain steadfast and loyal in the dry seasons is when our level of faith rises. When faith rises, we attract God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Whatever your fig tree may be, keep believing God’s word in spite of what you may or may not see with your physical eyes.

Jesus has your answer and He is always right on time!
